Peggy Reeves Sanday

Peggy Reeves Sanday is a professor of anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA. Starting from creation myths and social structures, she has researched patterns of male dominance in different societies, among them the Minangkabau of Sumatra. She is the author of many books, most recently Women at the Center: Life in a Modern Matriarchy.
